Castle Hill, Wittenham Clumps
Castle Hill and Round Hill are known as the Wittenham Clumps, both of them being crowned with trees. Castle Hill was an Iron Age hillfort and is still surrounded by impressive earthworks. In the summer, wild flowers bloom on its slopes, especially bright yellow ragwort.
